WHO EXPERIENCED PERSONAL AND HOUSEHOLD CRIMES?

This section provides an overview of personal and household crime in Australia. This section also examines the key characteristics of persons who experienced each of the crime types covered in this survey, such as age and sex, as well as the extent of multiple victimisation for selected crime types.

In addition, information is included on the key characteristics of the most recent incident experienced for each crime type. As this information is only collected in relation to the most recent incident, the findings are not necessarily representative of all incidents experienced by the person (see Technical Note).

Refer to the Glossary for definitions of personal and household crimes.
